Fun for the whole family. Don't miss this pay-as-you-feel screening of A Minecraft Movie (2025) presented by Stratford Youth Collective as part of Big Picture Film Festival. Supported by Stratford Town Trust.

Pixels meet popcorn as four misfits are suddenly pulled through a mysterious portal into a bizarre cubic wonderland that thrives on imagination.

Loved by young people of all ages and based on the popular videogame, this blockbuster family film caused giddy mayhem at cinemas around the world when it was released back in May, disrupting the polite conformity of watching a film with heady moments of popcorn-flying audience participation!

Though a box office blockbuster, director Jared Hess is more known for his small budget cult movies such as Napoleon Dynamite and Nacho Libre, and fans of his will be pleased to see his offbeat sense of humour and distinct visual style shine through the spectacle.

Since its theatrical debut, the film has already enjoyed a cult status thanks to the esteem of the video game on which it’s based and a great comedy cast led by Jack Black, who delights with his manic energy at full throttle! Be there and be square!
