It was great to see The Stratford River Festival so well supported by locals and visitors. We went during the day on Saturday and spent a few hours wondering around the many stalls. There was something for everyone - from handcrafted jewellery to stalls where kids could indulge their creative skills. Not to mention all of the various types of food and drinks available.
Later in the evening we went back and enjoyed a fabulous concert that could be heard from the other side of the town! Then we were treated to the illuminated boat display which was a truly magical sight. The finale was a great fireworks display which drew lots of oohs and aahs from the still healthy crowd.
On Sunday, combined with The Olympic Torch Relay Stratford upon Avon once again showed why it is such a special place.
