Wellesbourne & Shakespeare Lions Clubs’ Annual Charity Raft Race is on Sunday 26th July 2015.

Last year almost 400 people raced a raft down the River Avon for charity, had a brilliant day out and helped the Lions raise money for an important charity project.

The Shakespeare Hospice has been chosen this year as the main beneficiary for the Wellesbourne and Shakespeare Lions annual raft race in Stratford.

The Shakespeare Hospice hopes to raise money for their new Young People’s Service.

The Shakespeare Hospice's Young People’s Services are housed in The Hub which is the dedicated area in the Hospice for young people. Their Young People’s Services include: pre- and post- bereavement support, support for young carers, transitional care which provides support for 16 to 24 year olds with a life-limiting illness, and work experience and volunteering opportunities for young people.  Last year there were 57 new referrals to their services of bereavement support and support for young carers.

Are YOU up for the 2015 challenge on 26 July?
