STRATFORD TOWN 0 REDDITCH 1
On Tuesday 4th October @ 1945hrs Stratford Town played host to Redditch United in the Birmingham County Senior Cup.
A crowd of 210 watched a first half in which Redditch played the better approach play and created the best chances. Twice they came close only to see a Stratford defender clear the ball off the line with a last ditch tackle.
The second half was a more even contest with Stratford hittting the bar midway through the half.
The only goal of the game came near the end with a dubious penalty. The Redditch player went down under a strong but seemingly fair challenge. He duly picked himself up and despatched the resulting spot kick past the Stratford keeper.
Stratford tried in vain to rally, however they never looked like getting an equaliser.
