More Snow is expected to hit Stratford upon Avon later on tonight and also for in the next few days causing yet mre School closures and chaos on the roads.
Last week the Snow and cold weather was so bad 185 of the local schools in Stratford upon Avon and surrounding areas were shut. More of the same is expected over the next week as temperatures are set to stay low and more snow is due to fall.
So far the Snow in Stratford has cost the council around £250,000 on salt and grit and hopefully that should last the council for the remainder of the cold weather this time. This winter is our worst in 30 years causing lots of trouble and expense to the Stratford upon Avon area.
The breakdown companies have also been very busy with record numbers of cars breaking down over the last week. This lead to the warning from traffic experts to only drove when absolutley necessary.
Still the children are all enjoying an extra few days off and I have seen some really great snowmen around the area.
