Helping The Shakespeare Hospice

Recently we organised an 'Evening with' for our clients which was well attended. The purpose of the event was threefold.

It is a great opportunity for all of our clients to get together and 'soft' network. There is no hard selling, or pushing of business cards, it is more of a social gathering of like minded business people.

We always hold the event at one of our clients' premises. This is to showcase to other businesses what they have to offer. This event was at Wellesbourne Airfield and showcased their excellent conference facilities.   It also gave us the opportunity to demonstrate the air conditioning that Cool You UK supplied and SCE fitted.

Finally we ask our clients for a donation to attend.  We then present a cheque on the evening giving all of the proceeds to our chosen local charity.

Several of our clients gave short presentations about their businesses:

  • Angie from Aeros started the evening by talking about the different ways people can get into flying, and how affordable it is.
  • Sean from Heli Air explained how he had restructured his business as a result of the economic downturn, and how a successful business is always evolving and looking to better   itself.
  • Michael, the Airfield Manager, then gave us a brief history of the Airfield from it's original farm days, through the war years and then to it's present.
  • Claire from The Shakespeare Hospice was then presented with a cheque for £210.00 and highlighted what great work the Hospice do, and their plans for the future.
  • The final presentation of the evening was from Stratford TV. Stratford TV is a new and exciting venture that has real potential to reach a wide audience. The concept is simple but brilliant. A TV station dedicated to the Stratford area. The news, traffic, weather and stories will all be relevant to local people. Local people will feature and supply the content and local businesses will both advertise and contribute to the stories.

Throughout the evening there was plenty of time for people to mingle and chat. There were also a number of business opportunities, and we know several businesses have met up with a view to working together as a result of this evening.
