Yesterday I went along with the family to Alcester's Christmas Market and Fireworks display. The event started with a parade of the marching band, childrens nativity, old sports cars, old fire engines and the current Alcester Fire Engine.
After that we had a walk around the high street at the stalls that were available and picked up a few bargains and won a few more items on the raffles and tombolas. There were some stalls for local shops, young enterprise, local football team and charities.
There was lots of people out and about and a really great atmosphere throughout the day with everyone getting in the Christmas mood.
At 6pm there was a firework display up by the Rec in Alcester and the display lasted around 10 minutes with a really good selection of fireworks.
After the event we all went back for a glass of mulled wine and looked forward to Christmas.
