“We used SMB to construct an upper-storey extension to our semi-detached house following a glowing personal recommendation from another friend on our road who had used SMB for ground works. They project-managed the whole scheme from groundworks to windows and completed the majority of the work apart from a few snagging issues in a short time period. We were consulted quickly over issues that arose during the construction and we are very happy with the final result. Overall, the site was kept reasonably clean and tidy with concern for the neighbours. In a parochial and conservative village where complaints relating to building work are frequent, the fact that the builders were commended by a number of neighbours for the minimal disruption to traffic and access during the construction has to be a huge recommendation. They were also significantly cheaper than expected from architects’ estimates. Overall, excellent. We are continuing to use SMB for additional work and would not hesitate to recommend them to other potential clients.

I am writing this as my baby boy naps (having settled himself) and having had consistently double the amount of sleep I have had for 6 months. Tina was so kind, friendly and comforting. She came to my house and together we went through the situation and she provided my with the confidence and motivation to try new strategies. She was then on hand by phone to review and a quick text to quell any concerns. I would not hesitate to recommend her and urge those of you struggling with sleep to make the call!

Nigel and Mick installed and wired a ceiling mounted cooker hood. Nigel responded very promptly, within hours to my request. They turned up on time and completed the job in hand. Very friendly guys, nothing appears to be too much trouble. Very pleased to have found a local professional who delivers good work at reasonable prices. Would highly recommend and will use his services again in the future.

I cannot praise Tackwood highly enough. I was told by a main car dealer that my vehicle needed new rear brake pads and discs. Darren and the guys viewed the car and said it was untrue - my vehicle was good for another 2 years! They didn't charge for their services on this occasion. Brilliant!
