I would not recommend this company for small jobs (up to £1500 ). I requested some work to be done and was told that they would visit my home and provide a quote. However approximately 5 months on, and following several reminders, they have yet to visit me. The truth is (as with many trades), they only prioritise larger jobs, which provides higher revenue. They work on the basis that they will fit you in when they can but in the interim will keep you hanging on. Unfortunately, this is not respectful of the customer who needs help with a smaller job. In the end, I reached out to Abbey Roofing and they completed the work within 3 weeks.
Matt and his team laid an area of composite decking for me approximately a year ago (March 2019). The cost for the work and materials was around £5000. Overall, during installation, Matt and his team appeared to know what they were doing and worked hard and efficiently. The work was completed in an acceptable timescale and the end result appeared good. Unfortunately, in March 2020 I noticed that a number of the decking planks were starting to sag and gaps were appearing between those planks that were butted up together. I contacted Matt at the time and explained the situation. I also looked at a number of on-line videos and spoke to a tradesman who fits decking and this indicated that the wooden frame that supports the decking had not been constructed adequately. Matt initially engaged with me via text and gave me the impression that he would visit me to work out how best to deal with the issue. As time went on (2 months), I found that I was initiating the texts and my phone calls were going unanswered. To the date of this review (13th August), I've heard nothing further from Matt. As a result, I have had to spend 5 days of my own time stripping and relaying the planks plus a further £500 for materials and a tradesman to correct the issues with the frame. Based on my experiences, I would not recommend Matt and his team for decking.
