From your catering experience it is probable you are aware how important is a cuppa and cake for most cyclists. On Monday afternoon 5 August you and your team achieved tremendous success with your slices of your fabulous cakes for more than 300 cyclists. Each rider had been provided with a voucher for their slice to ensure there were enough for everyone. The historic winged wheel badge was particularly admired. Participants had travelled from all over the country for the annual celebration of the birthday of the Cyclists' Touring Club, founded in 1878. Members were full of praise for every slice eaten and enjoyed. We were even able to offer slices for the local members who had given generously of their time to ensure a successful event.
