I moved to St Neots 20+ years ago. I was in need of a local garage and after much searching and finding quite a few rip off merchants, someone suggested Tackwood.
Best suggestion I have had in a long while. They are polite, friendly, helpful when they can be, reliable and on several occasions they have helped me out of sticky situations.
I moved away from St Neots several years ago but still use Tackwood for all my vehicle needs. They have never let me down.

Tackwood have always been very polite and efficient when using them for their services. They recently made an extra effort to get my MOT done early in the day (even on quite late notice) to help us get the car back for a house move on the same day.
Very impressed overall and I'll only be using Tackwood for any future work on the car.

Collected my 5 year old FIAT 500 from Tackwood last night after work on the brakes, service and MOT. Excellent work, great staff and very reasonable price. I've had the car for 1 year and this is the first service that Tackwood have done for me. What a difference - this car now drives like a brand new car and the best that it has been since I bought it. I am very, very happy with the result. Thanks guys.

Great service, managed to sort an issue with my car after a breakdown by squeezing it in before a bank holiday weekend even though they weren't taking booked work for another ten days, and the cost was about a third less than I'd expected.

Had our annual MOT with our reliable Tackwood. I have complete faith and trust in this organisation. They always have great communication on any advisories or issues with the car and don’t do work that’s not essential. I can’t recommend them highly enough. We needed work following MOT and it was done in the same day as the MOT even though they had to order parts. Can’t recommend them highly enough. Keep up the good work guys and girls! It’s appreciated

Always honest and I have had two recent occasions when the problem could have been costly but they identified that the problem was not the most severe (and costly) problem that it could have been. Never had an issue with Darren and the team, can only recommend them for their work

I have used the services of Tackwood MOT and Service Centre for well over 10 years now. As a working woman ( NHS England) I, like everyone else, rely on my car at all times. Nothing is too
much for Tackwood and If they are unable to help ( very rarely) they have well tried and tested professional contacts who usually can help.

Friendly, honest, and professional service. It was so easy to book our MOT with Tackwood. They accommodated me with a date that suits. They have a good parking lot, which is always a plus. The team was very friendly from booking to arrival to payment. The person who booked me in even took the time to show me how to walk to the nearest shops so that I could comfortably spend my waiting time.
