Sunday 14 September & Saturday 20 September | 10am-12pm
Step aboard The Golden Hinde and get creative! This fun, interactive workshop invites families to explore the theme of architecture through art, history, and sustainability. Using recycled and found materials, you'll reimagine London's iconic skyline - from The Shard to St Paul's - and design your very own dream building, inspired by the city's past and present.
Sessions are designed for children aged 6 and up (accompanied by an adult) and encourage curiosity, hands-on making, and big-picture thinking. Participants will explore historic images, sketch ideas, and build using paper, glue, tape, and more. Your creations will contribute to a growing community artwork: a giant digital map of Southwark showing what London might look like if we all helped shape it.
This workshop sparks conversation about the history of housing in Southwark, what makes a landmark, and how we can turn "rubbish" into something beautiful.
