I cannot recommend Learn with Vern enough. I was so scared to learn to drive, especially as I have anxiety and struggle with self confidence. Vern was open minded, reassuring and calm with me the whole way. He never once raised his voice or made me feel uncomfortable, and he always made sure to teach in a way I understood. I felt like he made such an effort to understand me and how my brain works.
I passed today first time with only one minor, which is a better result than I ever expected I’d achieve! I’ve grown so much as a person thanks to his consistent reassurance and building me up. Thank you so much Vern!!

I started learning to drive with beki at 42 I was so anxious I thought i would never be able to learn to drive because i have ADHD and worried I’d get distracted beki made me feel so relaxed and gave me confidence that I could do this she was so calm and caring to me understanding my needs and how to teach me she pushed me when i needed it she was very clear with her instructions .
and I passed first time and I’m so happy for everything she has done for me if it wasn’t for her i wouldn’t of done this I can now drive my family around to days out . I highly recommended Beki Learn with Vern

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better driving instructor. Since starting my lessons in September, Beki has been consistently encouraging, patient, and supportive every step of the way. Thanks to Beki I was able to pass my test this week.
What really sets her apart is how she handles mistakes. Whenever I got something wrong, Beki never made me feel discouraged. Instead, she calmly and clearly explained what happened and how to improve, which made a huge difference in building my confidence and skills.
She also has a great way of keeping lessons relaxed and lighthearted, no matter the situation. This positive atmosphere made learning to drive something I genuinely looked forward to each week.

Had Ainsley as my instructor with Learn with Vern and I could not recommend him more. As an ex blue light driver he understands the vehicle and roads inside out and he transfers that knowledge extremely well. His approach to teaching made me pass first time.

Honestly could not recommend Vern enough, he’s the most patient, understanding, concise driving instructor out there. I suffer with anxiety and we went through every single thing that would make me feel anxious and we would deal with it step by step until it was no longer an issue and I was confident with anything. Vern believed in me even when I didn’t myself, Vern built up my confidence from not even wanting to get into the car in the first place.
Vern tailors the lessons to exactly what you need, even based on how you’re feeling on that particular day and the methods Vern uses are amazing he gets you to achieve a goal without realising you done it. Vern makes you feel relaxed in the car with humour and can chat to him about absolutely anything, also really good at giving advice. Vern is not just a driving instructor he’s a an incredible person.

Vern is the best driving instructor, I passed with no minors today and I'm over the moon. My confidence has grown so much since learning with him. He's taught me how to deal with my driving nerves and put me at ease even on my test day.
Vern uses an app called my drive time- after you're lessons you can have a recap and write anything you want to revisit, and you can even look at your previous routes which is helpful, there's a bunch of resources too and you can even check on your progress. And it keeps you in check of when your next lesson is.
I would recommend any new driver to learn with vern, no matter how nervous you are you wont be for very long.

My experience with Vern was absolutely amazing I had my downs and up with driving but he has made me some much better all ways calm when I make a mistake and is always helping me solve my issues thank you so much for getting me through and helping pass with zero minors I really appreciate what Vern has done for me and thank you so much 😊

Passed my driving test today after a tough personal journey overcoming my anxiety and facing my fears. I could not have done this with anyone else! Vern was patient, supportive, clear and had amazing methods to support learning and make the experience enjoyable. The only negative to passing my test is I'm going to miss my driving lessons and chats with Vern!

I came to Simon as an older, very anxious and nervous driver having previously attempted to learn to drive with other instructors and giving up. Simon was patient and eased my nerves from day one. The nerves never left but Simon knew how to manage them, gently nudging me and coaching me to believe in myself more and converted them into a first time pass for me which I'm thrilled about.
I can't believe it and can't thank him enough. This will really change my life 😊

I passed with only 1 minor on the 11th August 2025 with Tony as my instructor! I have done many months of lessons with Tony and I couldn’t recommend him enough. He is incredibly patient, calm spoken and respectful. He always encouraged me to not be so perfect but to always be safe. So incredibly happy with my results and it is all down to Tony and his hard work and a lot of Saturday mornings spent with me! Thank you! 🥹
