  • Saturday 11th April 11:30am until 12:30pm
Bridging reflections on personal healing with art historical insight, Deep K Kailey and Dominik Czechowski will explore the psychologically charged figurative paintings of Jasmir Creed, a practice-led PhD researcher at the Slade School of Fine Art.

Jasmir Creed’s paintings are richly evocative images that capture the meeting point between raw self-expression and collective healing. She explores alienation and the transcultural in paintings of people in urban non-places or iconic historical sites, informed by her identity as a British South Asian artist.

Dominik Czechowski, an Independent Art Curator, Critic and Researcher who has worked with Modern Art Oxford, Liverpool Biennial and many others, will bring his curatorial insight and lived artistic experience to the conversation.

Deep K Kailey, the Artistic Director, is interested in how the paintings act as portals to move beyond individual fragmentation towards true and lasting healing.

The talk will be followed by refreshments and Q&A.

FREE and OPEN TO ALL.
