Following the success of the 'Boris bikes' in London, we will now see a similar scheme being launched in our very own Slough and surrounding areas. This scheme looks to be a promising success and will be popular with the towns commuters travelling to and from the UK's largest Trading Estate.
"Slough is an excellent place to cycle-its relatively flat and has an excellent network of cycle routes and pathways through some of our best parks"-Councillor Sohail Munawar, commissioner for economic and social inclusion, added. The Slough new cycle hire scheme will start as of on Monday October 21st with 60 bikes available from £1 for the first 30 minutes and 50p for each hour after that.
