A Maidenhead care home has celebrated its ‘Outstanding’ rating from the Care Quality Commission (CQC) – the highest rating a care home can achieve.

Residents and the team at Care UK’s Clara Court, on Courthouse Road, were joined by the Mayor of Windsor and Maidenhead, Councillor Paul Lion, and the local community to enjoy a party to mark the occasion.

The event included drinks, a tasty buffet lunch with cakes, and speeches followed by a plaque unveiling by Councilor Paul Lion.

Residents and guests were also treated to a performance from an Elvis impersonator, and had the opportunity to dance their way through a Zumba session. Visitors also had the chance to get up close with a host of friendly animals from a local petting farm, including lambs, baby goats and ponies.

Debbie Winwood, home manager at Clara Court, said: “We were thrilled to receive an ‘Outstanding’ CQC rating, and we knew we had to do something special to mark the occasion.

“We all had a brilliant time celebrating our achievement, and it was wonderful to see so many faces from the community raising a glass with us. To achieve such a high rating shows just how committed the team is, and I’m extremely proud of each and every one of them. I would like to say thank you for their hard work and dedication, which I know is also greatly appreciated by residents and their families.”

Clara Court is a modern and welcoming care home designed to deliver the very best standards of care, and to enable residents to live active and fulfilled lives. The home offers a range of services including residential care and specialist dementia care.
