4 Top tips to carving a pumpkin!

1. Choose one of the larger pumpkins and use a sharp jagged knife to cut off the top. Keep the top as you will need this later.

 2. Using a large spoon, remove all of the seeds and fibres and put them to one side.


3. With a marker pen, draw the design of your choice as a face for the pumpkin. Using your knife to cut out the eyes, nose and mouth. Safety tip: Make sure you always cut away from you in case the knife slips.


4. Pop a tea light or candle inside the pumpkin, light it and replace the top.

 

Always remember to be careful when using the knife, especially when working with children.
