Whitworth Town Council hosts the 2016 Civic Dinner Celebration of a year in Whitworth!

On Saturday 2 April 2016, the Mayor of Whitworth, Councillor Lynda Barnes, will be holding the annual Civic Dinner this year taking the form of a Celebration of a year in Whitworth in aid of the Mayor’s charity fund. 

It will take place at The Riverside (Civic Hall), Whitworth, with doors opening at 6.30pm, a sumptuous four-course meal and dancing until midnight.

The event will feature Lancashire born, International Vocal Artist, Gemma Louise DoyleCaptivating global audiences on Cruises, in theatres & global events, Gemma has been gladly discovered by Whitworth Charity Organisers & our own Council.  A classically trained singer, Gemma performs timeless World favourite hits, from Popular music to Jazz, West End Musicals & more.

Councillor Barnes says “I’m delighted that we’ve managed to secure entertainment of such a high calibre as Gemma Louise Doyle.  We have much to be proud of in Whitworth and this evening will be a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate this.  It promises to be a fantastic evening, and I’m very much looking forward to raising funds for my mayoral charities.”
