Since officially becoming a public venue three years ago, The Boo in Waterfoot near Rawtenstall has welcomed children’s theatre from across Europe – and given local people a chance to see the work of resident company, Horse + Bamboo, one of Britain’s best loved theatre companies.

Open Day - Saturday 11th September, 11am-5pm    

Come along to this fantastic open day at The Boo for fun tours of the building, which will include the amazing store of mask and puppets to try on. In addition, there will be simple puppet making for both kids and adults and story telling from France (told in English) in the Flying Theatre.

You can also see Small Worlds, a visually stunning puppet performance in a white dome (£5). All other events at the Open Day are free.

Skeleton's Ball  - Sunday 31st October, 3pm - 5pm

Join in the spooky fun at the Skeleton's Ball, which is great for a family Halloween celebration! There will be a ceilidh, scary stories, apple bobbing and mask making!

Strange Stones: The True Tale of Mary Anning - Sunday 14th November, 3pm

One Moment in Time Theatre will be presenting the tale of Mary Anning at The Boo. The performance follows a young girl whose discovery of dinosaur fossils would change her life – and our understanding of the world – forever.

Red Riding Hood - 3rd - 12th December

Come along to The Boo's Christmas show for a refreshing and entertaining take on the traditional folk story of Little Red Riding Hood, which has been weaved together with the theatre's well-known style of brilliantly visual story-telling.

There’s a young girl, a hungry wolf and an overgrown forest – is this a recipe for disaster or maybe a few surprises?

All tickets just £5, with discounts available for community groups and schools.
