Incredible Edible Rossendale are delighted to confirm that Christine Walkden has agreed to become our Patron and will be offering her support to our project
Christine is best known from her appearances on BBC's Gardeners World, Gardeners Diary and resident gardening expert on The One Show. She has also had two series of Christine's Garden.
Christine was born in nearby Rishton and trained at the Lancashire College of Agriculture. She then went on to work at two experimental horticultural stations, before moving to The Royal Botanic Gardens Kew based at Wakehurst Place, where she looked after the growing side of the seed physiology unit. After several more jobs she opted for a challenging career change and became a freelance horticulturist, lecturing both nationally and internationally.
