20th March 2013

At the AGM of the Haslingden Ladies RNLI Guild long serving Chairman, Mrs. Pat Harrison and Secretary,
Mrs. Joyce Crossfield both retired as officers but will continue to serve on the committee.

The new officers elected were Mrs. Anita Collinge as Chairman, Mrs. Mhairi Brady as Secretary and
Mrs. Linda Brown as Treasurer.

The first event after the changes was a very successful coffee morning held on 13th. March at the home of Mrs. Judith Ingham who is Vice Chairman.  This raised £400 which will be used towards funding the running costs of Lytham Lifeboat Station.

Chairman Mrs. Anita Collinge said, "This is our first event with new officers and we are confident that we will continue to raise substantial sums to support the RNLI.   A programme of varied events is already in the pipeline for the next two years."

The next event, in April, in the national house-to-house collection.  Anyone living in the Haslingden or Helmshore area who is interested in helping at future events should telephone 01706 214570 for more information.

The photographs show members of the committee admiring some of the home baked products and a group of those attending enjoying coffee and cakes.
