Bacup and Stacksteads Carnival Organisation walked off with the Community Event of the Year award at the Pride of Rossendale Awards.
The carnival was relaunched last year after an absence of six years and proved hugely successful with 3,000 people flocking to Stubbylee Park and hundreds taking part in the carnival procession.
This year's event will be held on Sunday 26 June with a procession of floats and walkers leading people through the town before the fun begins at the park.
