Things are heating up now (and the sun has come out to join us too!!) ahead of the Grand Charity Auction on Rossendale Radio, raising funds for local charity Agapao International who do huge amounts of work here in the Valley and overseas in places like Uganda and Kenya.

Based in Rossendale, Lancashire The Agapao Impact Centre is home to various Charities and Social Enterprises. The Centre also has a Meeting/Training room & I.T Suite, which are both available for hire.

The charity also encompasses ‘Re-Loved’ a recycling scheme which reduces landfill by collecting & redistributing unwanted items across the Rossendale Valley. Items are also taken to developing countries to assist community development overseas.

Agapao International works with individuals & communities to develop skills through leadership and vocational training. Health care and educational needs are addressed through sustainable projects which are managed by the community.

We currently have bids being placed as our online auction at www.ebay.co.uk began last week. On Thursday 29th October, our ON AIR auction will commence at 9am and bids can be placed via our dedicated auction number.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the businesses and orgsanisations who have contributed ‘lots’ for auction. All these items will be available to view on our website over the next couple of days as we head to Thursday.

If you would still like to contribute any ‘lot ‘ to be auctioned, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with the details.
Please pass on the word and tune in on Thursday on 104.7 fm and online at
www.rossendaleradio.co.uk and together lets make lots of money for Agapao International

Thanks and Happy Bidding
