Following months of discussion, negotiation and planning, the annual Whitworth Rushcart celebrations will take place in the town on the afternoon of Sunday 6 September 2015. This is a family friendly event and all are welcome.
The fifth Whitworth Scarecrow Festival took place from Saturday 27 June to Sunday 5 July, and the talent and imagination on display was as impressive as ever.
Just over 100 people joined the Mayor and Mayoress of Whitworth, Councillor Jim Mellor and Mrs Susan Mellor, at Whitworth’s Civic Dinner and Dance on Saturday 18 April.
On Sunday 19 April, Whitworth held its celebration of England’s patron saint, St George at an event organised by the Tourism and Leisure Committee of Whitworth Town Council.
On Saturday 18 April 2015, the Mayor and Mayoress of Whitworth, Councillor Mr Jim Mellor and Mrs Susan Mellor, pictured here, will host Whitworth’s Civic Dinner and Dance.
