From alley to aisles
Upmarket supermarket chain Waitrose is hoping to open its first store in Preston. We can't wait as thebestof Preston offices are within a short stroll of the proposed site - the Capitol Centre in Walton-le-Dale. I can envisage extra long lunch breaks as we patrol the aisles looking for tasty morsels.
The new store is planned to open by summer 2011.
Although it should help business down this end of Preston, unfortunately, Waitrose plan to take over the existing ten pin bowling alley to build their store.
