Dancin’ Oxford is thrilled to unveil a vibrant and diverse programme for its Summer Dance Festival 2025.

This year's festival promises an eclectic mix of performances, workshops, and community events, celebrating the richness of dance in Oxford and beyond.
Performances include:-
Sat 28 June: Autin Dance Theatre: Up in the Sky
- A thrilling new aerial dance show for families, performed on a 7-metre circular structure. Expect breathtaking aerial movement, magical visuals and live music. 1pm and 4pm on Leiden Square, Westgate Oxford

Sun 29 June: Global Dance Stage
- A vibrant celebration of global dance and community talent, featuring over 30 local and international groups across diverse styles – including Zumba, contemporary, and Kathak. 12pm – 5pm on Leiden Square, Westgate Oxford

Sun 29 June:Our Bodies as Earth (Performance)
- Outdoor performance exploring ecological embodiment and connection to land through movement. Presented in partnership with Modern Art Oxford. 2pm – 4pm at Headington Hill Park

  • Autin Dance Theatre
    Autin Dance Theatre is an award-winning, Birmingham-based company renowned for its innovative, interdisciplinary performances that blend dance, physical theatre, puppetry, and storytelling. Led by artistic director Johnny Autin, the company creates socially engaged works that explore themes of identity, resilience, displacement, and the climate crisis.   • Justice in Motion
    Justice in Motion is an Oxford-based physical theatre company founded in 2013 by Artistic Director Anja Meinhardt. The company is renowned for creating powerful, thought-provoking performances that address pressing social justice issues through a dynamic blend of dance, theatre, parkour, aerial acrobatics, film, and music. Their work aims to raise awareness, inspire dialogue, and encourage action on topics such as human trafficking, modern slavery, and social inequality. At this year's festival, they present CODE, a gripping outdoor production that explores the harrowing realities of 'county lines' child exploitation, combining athletic choreography, bike stunts, and live rap to tell a compelling story inspired by true events.   • MuMo Creative
    MuMo Creative is an Oxford-based organisation using dance and the arts to support the wellbeing of older adults, especially those living with Parkinson’s. Working in partnership with English National Ballet and Oxford City Council, their Dance for Parkinson’s sessions combine movement, music and storytelling in an inclusive, uplifting environment. Their work fosters creativity, confidence, and connection within the community.
