An evening with Stella Rimington
  • Oxford Town Hall St Aldate's
    OX1 1BX
  • Monday 28th October 6:00pm until 9:30pm
Dame Stella is a huge hit at every meeting she attends and we’re thrilled she is coming to Oxfordshire. Bring all your friends – it’s open to absolutely everyone.

The name's Rimington, Stella Rimington, in this case MI5 not MI6. What was it like being a real spy master? How did she get recruited?

Stella Rimington was the first woman to head up MI5, but she was also the first Director General to be named in public. What was that like and why did MI5 take the decision to reveal her identity? Now, Dame Stella Rimington is also the author of a series of fictional spy stories centred around the character Liz Carlyle - but just how fictitious as character is she really?

This promises to be a fascinating evening when you will hear first-hand from the person herself and ask her all those questions.

Doors open at 6pm so arrive early for a glass of wine.  Talk starts at 7.15 and Dame Stella will also be signing copies of her latest book during the evening.

Tickets £24 plus booking fee.  To book tickets go to  and search for 'An evening with Stella Rimington'.
