Help us nurture our budding talent and see Pegasus flourish
Pegasus (recently re-opened following a multi-million refurbishment), is a state of the art venue for small scale professional performances and a place where young people, the local community and performing artists can meet and mix.
We're at the Iffley Road end of Magdalen Road (a one-way street) - just look for the copper building, you can't miss us!
Our main performance space, the Pullman Stage, is a little, black, magical box where wonderful things can be seen and transformations take place. Peep through the windows throughout the building and you can glimpse the busy backstage areas and inside the performance space itself!
Hang around in our glass fronted cafe on the first floor and watch the world go by as you enjoy a hot drink and a light lunch during the day or a glass of wine before a show in the evening.
What can I do there?
At Pegasus you can watch professional shows: new plays; contemporary dance; provocative comedians; Indie bands; world music; family shows and more. You can also try out a host of new skills in workshops with visiting artists or by taking up one of our long term performing arts projects for anyone from 6 years old to adult. We even have parent and toddler session three mornings a week!
If you're interested in acting, dancing, writing, playing music, producing music, making short films, stage design or stage management, you can get to do all of that here (and your could be seen on the main stage)! We hold registration events for these projects twice a year in January and June. To find out more, contact our Producer Emily Winfield on 01865 812 166.
As you can tell, the place is pretty busy but when we are not using our spaces they are available to hire for meetings, classes, parties, conference, training and presentations. Just talk to our Head of Operations Donna Waterer on 01865 812 154.
Pegasus is a key arts centre in South East England specialising in youth theatre, creating new performance work, supporting new and emerging artists and community groups.
