Charitable organisation in Oxford

Marie Curie Cancer Care is a charitable organisation based near Oxford, which provides free of charge, high-quality nursing to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses, giving them the choice of dying at home supported by their families.

Over the past three years, Marie Curie Cancer Care has been campaigning for more patients to be able to make the choice to be cared for and die at home, but for every patient we can help, there is one we cannot!!

You can help

Every March the charity runs the Great Daffodil Appeal, with street collections and other fundraising events nationwide. You can help with this annual event or you can help at other times of the year. Here are some ideas:

  • Volunteer - Donate a few hours of your time to help collect at one of our collections throughout Oxfordshire or help at a local event.
  • At work -Co-ordinate a Supermarket collection with your work colleagues, or have a dress down day, or arrange a team and take on one of our Mountain Challenges.
  • At school - Participate in our Mini Pots of Care, or arrange a jumble sale
  • Start a Supporter Group - Get a group of friends and/or neighbours together to organise an event or collection.

If you can donate some time, visit the Marie Curie Cancer Care website for more information or visit the events pages to see what charity events we are running. Any support you can give this charity means our nurses can spend more time caring for terminally ill people in the comfort of their own home.
