On Friday 16th October, from 11am-12.30pm, Care UK’s Ivy Court, on Ivy Road, will be hosting a special party to mark 11 years since the home first opened its doors.
A live singer, local musician Lucy Short, will provide the soundtrack to the celebrations, performing a range of well-known hits from across the decades – sure to get everyone dancing.
Guests and residents can enjoy dishes inspired by the different countries and cultures represented within the home, giving everyone the chance to discover some new flavours. The home’s chef will also bake a celebratory cake to mark the occasion.
Ovidiu Andreescu, Home Manager at Ivy Court, said: “We’re thrilled to be inviting the community to join us in celebrating our 11th birthday. It’s a fantastic opportunity for everyone to come together and celebrate everything we have achieved since our home first opened its doors.
“It’s been a wonderful 11 years, and we’ve created a real sense of community here at Ivy Court. We’ve welcomed some real characters into the home, built long-lasting friendships and hosted exciting events.
“We can’t wait to see everyone come together to enjoy the celebrations and listen to the residents share their favourite memories and achievements at Ivy Court!”
