Summer holidays are well and truly here, and at The Best of Newmarket, we always try to let you know of the best activities, pastimes and outright fun that can be had to while away the hours and keep those busy little minds active and out of trouble!

Anglesey Abbey near Newmarket is running a creative session for all the family called Thrilling Thursday’s Pop Up Nature Workshop, this Thursday 11th August, with artist Lizanne van Essen.

Lizanne will be showing you how to create fabulous and inspiring pop up cards, from butterflies to trees, insects to funny faces! All of which can be created to surprise a loved one for a birthday or even get those Christmas cards done early! (Ok, maybe not Christmas just yet!)

This is a great way to spend some time as a family together and get the creative juices flowing for an afternoon; no booking is needed and only costs £4.00 per child, which will cover the materials you will use.

Join in this Thursday at Anglesey Abbey, Gardens and Lode Mill, Quy Road, Lode, CB25 9EJ.
