Schools across Newmarket remain open today despite heavy snowfall in the local area. However, with further winter weather predicted for the remainder of the week and weekend, school officials could face tricky decisions over the next few days.
If, as the Met Office has predicted, snow continues to trouble Newmarket and the Suffolk Western Area, schools could begin to close as early as tomorrow morning.
