So the Budget’s latest offerings might have not all been great news for some, with fuel going up 3p and 5p on a pint and a whopping 37p on cigarettes, this could come as a time for change for those that were perhaps putting off looking to go a bit greener, slow down on the booze a little or kick the habit.

There is no greater incentive than to save money in this current climate, and so we thought it apt to highlight some of the ways in which you can do some of the latter to do so or to feel fitter with your savings!

We have some great walkways, pathways and natural beauty in Newmarket and so getting the bike out, especially with the warmer weather coming can only help to put a spring in your step. You could also take your bike to get to work or school to save on fuel costs, or may be even car share!

To finally take the plunge and get fit, ditch the cigarettes and get swimming, rambling, badminton and (or!) even Yoga all paid for with your savings from harbouring the habit and cutting down on your alcohol intake, imagine how good it could make you feel and increase your social circle at the same time!

You of course may not want to pack up any vices and who are we to tell you, but here at thebestof Newmarket, we hope that this may be useful if you do decide to take the plunge and make some changes, all with the help of our great affiliates at thebestof!
