Tanya Hawes, from Red Lodge near Newmarket, is urging local people to sponsor her charity skydive tomorrow.

Tanya, who herself was paralysed in a car accident 10 years ago, will be taking part in the charity parachute jump to raise money for the Spinal Injuries Association and the essential work it carries out for people who suffer from spinal injuries across the UK.

Tanya said: “When you receive a spinal injury your whole life changes overnight. One minute you’re able to do all the normal things like walking and eating and then all of a sudden you can’t."

“I’ve been determined not to let my disabilities stop me doing things ever since the accident happened and now I want to thank the Spinal Injuries Association.”

Tanya is appealing for any local people or business who wish to sponsor her to get in touch in the hope she can raise as much money for the charity as possible.

To sponsor Tanya, please visit her Just Giving website here.
