It's National Nest Box Week and you can join in the feathered fun on Thursday 19th February at Lakenheath Fen Nature Reserve.
National Nest Box week is not excusive to one species in particular, and thus is open for sparrows to barn owls. It is a great annual campaign to raise awareness and encourage people to give a little bit back to the environment.
This year the campaign is focusing on the Swift as a priority as a species in trouble with declining numbers, but you can cater to your favourite-feathered friends of your choice. There is information online and experts on hand to give you all the information you need to provide the perfect perch for our local birds, and at only £6.00 per nest box, it doesn’t cost much to make you feel good!
