Over 30 local Alan Sugar wannabes have already signed up for a Dragons Den style contest that aims to bring exciting, new shops and businesses to Newmarket town centre's empty shops.

The competition, organised by Newmarket Retailers Association, has been overwhelmed with ideas and pitches for new businesses to fill the dozen empty storefronts across the town centre.

Titled 'Strictly Come Newmarket', the competition is hosting a final information day on Tuesday 7th December, where interested people can find out more before entry closes on Christmas Eve.

Pitches to the panel of 'Dragons' will commence on the 19th January 2011.

Further information is available from the Newmarket Council website.
