Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way. Maybe my jolly singing is a little premature. Although Christmas may seem a while off yet, it is definitely time to start thinking about the venue for this year’s Christmas party. So where in Newmarket can we sip Christmas cocktails and accidently bump into the stud of the office, under the mistletoe?
Some people look forward to the Christmas party, others dread it. It is the only time of year when you are forced into a work related gathering, where there is a constant supply of alcohol and that god-like company executive that you have fancied for six years. It is debatable whether this is a good or bad thing.
Personally, I love Christmas and the office party is a chance to let your hair down after weeks of Christmas planning and preparation. For this very reason I highly recommend getting the venue booked before everywhere is fully booked. You don’t want to end up stuck in the office with a cheap bottle of champers and some very disappointed employees.
With this in mind, here are some venue recommendations from thebestof:
Montaz Indian Restaurant has a fantastic reputation and promises a fantastically high standard of customer service. This may not seem the most Christmassy venue but there is nothing more satisfying than a well-made curry. Indian restaurants have become an increasingly popular Christmas party venue. All you need are some party hats and a festive attitude and you are sure to enjoy a wonderful meal.
If you fancy something a little more traditional perhaps a public house will suit your requirements. The Green Man Six Mile Bottom public house is located in Newmarket. It promises a warm welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and a large variety of beverages.
The White Horse Inn is situated in the charming village of Exning. If you are looking for a character filled public house to set the mood for your Christmas party then The White Horse Inn is the place for you.
Get booking, you don’t want to miss out.
