Burwell Pool Closure Could Mean Hanging Up Your Goggles For Good

Burwell Swimming Pool could be in trouble if no willing volunteers can be found to run the facility, following the imminent stand down of 5 members of the committee that currently keep it running.

The pool was opened on funds raised by the local community and hosts swimming lessons for the local college and serves as a community asset. However, it is this same community who will need to come out and save it from closure this summer.

Volunteers are needed for all aspects of the business, and the more volunteers that come forward, the more the roles can be divided out to suit. From PR to DIY you may be able to help!

Find out more by heading on down to Burwell Swimming Pool for a dip, and after you have dried off and warmed up, see if you can help to keep this important asset to the community open for years to come!
