A fond farewell to a Newmarket favourite

The end of this season will be bittersweet for racegoers in Newmarket as we say goodbye to Race Day presenter Lorna Fowler, The Voice of Newmarket.

The daughter of Fife trainer Sue Bradburne and sibling of National Hunt Jockey Mark, her knowledge and passion for horses were always obvious and ever present.

Lorna is heading to the green isle of Ireland to follow her husband back to his family farm and stud in County Meath. Her work with the track and horse racing is renowned and a familiar voice that will be dearly missed; however she will still be gracing Timeform Radio and Racing UK following the move, so you will be glad to know this will not be the last we see or indeed hear of Lorna.

We wish Lorna every success in her move across the pond, and here at The Best of Newmarket, we hope it not so much as a good bye, but a see you later! Good luck Lorna!
