Community Christmas is a local voluntary organisation dedicated to providing a Christmas Day lunch for the older members of the community who may be on their own or less able to provide for themselves.

Their fantastic work provides a safe, welcoming place, for older members of our communities to have a place where they are welcomed on Christmas Day and can enjoy some company, entertainment and a traditional, freshly cooked lunch. This year they are providing two venues, one in Thatcham and one in Kintbury.

At around 11am they provide transport to the venue and have plenty of helpers to make sure that all guests are well looked after through the day. After the Queens speech the volunteers ensure all their guests are returned home safe and sound.

They can cater for those with limited mobility and/or special dietary requirements providing they know in advance. They also appreciate that for some people it really is too difficult to get out of their home or they may find a large group rather daunting. So, for those that are unable to attend they may be able to arrange for a volunteer to provide some comfort and joy at home.

If you, or someone you know, would like to join them as a Guest or as a Volunteer, then please call their central phone number 0845 854 9251 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting            0845 854 9251      end_of_the_skype_highlighting and help make someone’s Christmas memorable and special.
