Thebestofnewbury is delighted that it's business members The Carnarvon Arms and local catering company, Rosemary and Thyme, will be supporting the MacMillan Coffee morning organised by local business networking group, Ladies Who Latte (LWL), with the help of Monarch Events. This is being held on September 24th at St Nicolas Church Hall in central Newbury and we are keen to encourage as many people along as possible to show their support to this great charitable cause.

More importantly, the fundraising event, which has ground floor access, is open to everyone, not just business people and not just ladies!

Fiona Grindrod, LWL leader said, “The support we are getting from these local businesses will go a long way to ensure the success of this event.  Alongside raising funds for MacMillan we hope to raise the profile of some of Newbury’s hidden assets i.e. the varied and successful businesses run by our members.” The two companies will be working together to provide a range of teas, coffees and hot chocolate alongside an irresistible selection of cakes and cookies.  A representative from bestofnewbury business member, Kaizen Systems Limited, will also be on hand to provide a take-out waitressing services to local businesses on the Friday morning".

A small number of stalls are still available for local businesses wishing to take part in this event.  Stalls cost just £25 which includes a donation to MacMillan and anyone interested should contact Sharon Morris on 07970 382956 or begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              07970 382956      end_of_the_skype_highlightingemail her at info@monarchevents.co.uk

LWL offers a friendly and understanding forum for women to discuss and obtain valuable advice on the challenges they are facing within their businesses, whilst also offering the opportunity to build new relationships that may lead to other commercial opportunities.

Meetings are held on the last Thursday of every month from 10am at The Carnarvon Arms, Highclere and costs £3.  After an initial introduction highlighting forthcoming local business events and training opportunities, each guest is invited to spend a minute presenting their business or sharing a recent success.  The remainder of the morning can then be spent talking to group members on a one-to-one basis.

Anyone interested in coming along to the next meeting or finding out more about Ladies Who Latte should contact Fiona Grindrod, Director of Just Wills Ridgeway on 01635 3154 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting              01635 3154      end_of_the_skype_highlightingor email: fiona@justwillsridgeway.co.uk
