Make Your Will Fortnight - make or update yours for free in return for a donation to Naomi House
1st June 2011

This summer Naomi House will launch a legacy appeal to explain how gifts in wills can really make a difference to the work of the hospice.  Gifts, no matter what size, help us to make long term plans and guarantee that we can continue to provide crucial services for many years to come.

"Make your Will Fortnight" will run from the 6th - 19th June.

During this time local solicitors will prepare a new Will or update your existing Will, free of charge in return for a donation to Naomi House children's hospice.

How It Works:

  1. You get in touch direct with the solicitor of your choice from the list of those participating (see below) and arrange a mutually convenient date to visit the solicitor.
  2. At the initial meeting, you explain what you want, i.e. what assets you have and who you want to benefit and the solicitor will tell you if this can be done as a basic or standard will. If it can, instead of paying the solicitor a fee, you will be asked to give a donation to Naomi House.
  3. If what you need requires specialist advice that cannot be included under the scheme the solicitor will advise you so, and give you a separate price for that work. All participating solicitors reserve the right to charge you a fee if your will is not basic or standard.

Just contact a participating solicitor between 6-19th June to make an initial appointment. The solicitors listed have kindly agreed to write a basic or standard will free of charge, in return for a donation to Naomi House children’s hospice. If your will is not basic or standard (i.e involves tax or other specialised legal advice) the solicitor will tell you and agree a fee before going ahead. There is no obligation to include Naomi House in your Will, but if you do choose to leave a gift to the hospice, it would be most appreciated.
