Visit Newbury'€™s premier Theatre and Arts Centre, based right in the heart of Newbury.

The Corn Exchange Theatre is situated in the historic Newbury Market Place. The Building is a Grade II listed building which was built in 1861 for the purpose of trading grain in the heart of Newbury. As trading in corn slowly declined, the venue became the main meeting place in Newbury for the community. Over the years, the venue has been host for many activities including dances, and as a theatre on special occasions.

In 1993, the building was opened as Newbury's arts centre and theatre after a huge refurbishment. The Theatre then passed from West Berkshire Councils control to The Corn Exchange (Newbury) Trust, an independent charity in 2000.

The Corn Exchange theatre is now seen as the premier Arts and entertainment theatre with its 400 seat capacity in the heart of Newbury. The Corn Exchange theatre presents a varied programme including Theatre, dance, film, music, drama, light entertainment, children's events and comedy through out the year, including an annual pantomime -a popular feature of any Newbury Christmas.

The New Greenham Arts centre based at Greenham near Newbury is also run under control of the Trust. This vibrant Arts centre features exhibitions and theatrical performances from around the world.

The Corn Exchange theatre of Newbury also features a walk in Café and bar area where a full range of snacks and drinks are available to visitors of Newbury.
