From the soaring skies of Vaughan Williams’ The Lark Ascending to Holst’s vibrant Brook Green Suite, the programme moves through time, memory and imagination, exploring the intimate and hidden corners of the English soundscape. The evening includes the premiere of David Le Page’s ‘A Kibworth Idyll’, a three movement meditation on local village life echoing the worlds of Beauchamp, Harcourt and Smeeton, alongside works by Sting, Elgar, Purcell, Nick Drake and more…
