The carnival is a popular annual community event held each June, centered on celebrating local spirit with a parade, entertainment, and a community showground. Key attractions include a morning 10k running race, a colourful procession of floats through the town, live music, 90+ stalls, food, and children's activities, often including workshops and fairground games.
This year the theme is 'SIX' (hence the change in date this year from the traditional 2nd Saturday of June), and according to the official facebook page post, this number is associated with harmony and care for others and unity.
