Wistow itself is a vibrant, friendly but small community surrounded by numerous beautiful country walks around St Wistan’s Church and the Grand Union Canal and boasts a fascinating history all lovingly documented on the Wistow website.
Wistow has more recently become famous for the ever popular and challenging Wistow Maze (with a new design and quiz trail each summer) which is immediately opposite the Wistow Rural Centre.
The Wistow Maze began in 2004, and now opens every summer for 8 - 10 weeks providing a healthy family challenge and hours of fun for all ages.
The highly popular 'Music in the Park' annual charity concert takes place each June in the beautiful grounds of Wistow Hall (by kind permission of the Brooks family).
In 2014, over 1,000 people attended along with their picnics and enjoyed a great evening with the enthralling atmosphere of live music followed by a fabulous fireworks display in front of Wistow Hall.
So whether you visit Wistow for the music, the country walks or for the Wistow Maze challenge in the summer, don't miss out on the Wistow Rural Centre with all its attractions. And afterwards, just marvel at the views of historic Wistow Hall and its scenic parkland and lake!
