A lovely place to sit and have a cuppa and a catch up with friends and family. No wonder it's always so busy. Food is delicious as is the Ice cream.

Visited as wanted nice environment for a lunchtime snack. On arrival it wasn’t clear what the system of ordering was so we just went to the counter inside. Large selection to choose from & quick service no queue. Found a table and food arrived promptly. The lady who brought our food told us where to get cutlery etc., Lunch was very nice, would go again and recommend.

Going to Wistow Café for a coffee with friends is a real treat! There is always a couple of choices of Gluten free cakes for me to choose from which is truly amazing for people with allergies. They are absolutely delicious, homemade, fresh and fantastic flavour combinations. Had almond and apricot cake this week which I was a delight. I also spotted on the board they do a GF burger for around £6 with Sides with sounds affordable so will definitely try that next time. The service is also 5*

We called in here as it opened yesterday on our way to Norfolk. We both had a bacon and mushroom sandwich and coffee. The sandwich was delicious. It was very busy in here, probably because it was Good Friday.

It’s always lovely at Wistow - and their afternoon tea is the best! Lots of savoury, nitnjust heavy dessert loaded 😊

Really pleased to see the cafe busy and clearly doing so well which clarifies that I can only think being refused a glass of water is due to additional money making. Should I have bought a bottle I could have a glass regardless that I had bought coffee. Instead the cafe and trays were covered in eggcup size containers which were offered as an alternative to which you helped yourself from a stored water jug on the side. Should you enjoy water with your meal need to take tablets etc please pop your own in a bag! Otherwise be prepared to get up and down to refill and add to unnecessary waste. Very petty approach when most eateries at all levels no longer cringe at a request for a glass of water!

I came with friends to Wistow and was genuinely surprised to find such a wonderful cafe in an idyllic spot. The ambiance was buzzing, it's obviously a very popular place to eat! We ordered lunch (from delightfully friendly and helpful staff) and had great value, creative food off the large choice on their blackboard. Great choice of cakes too which are all made fresh each day in their own bakery we were told. Five stars, we will definitely return!

We found ourselves at Wistow and were very pleasantly surprised at the food we were served at lunchtime and friendliness of the staff. Also walking around it was a great little find for the many different shops and quality of the goods. Whilst we live quite a bit away we will go back shortly to have a better look around.

Visited the cafe this weekend with my family and the food was amazing. I had a vegan special and it was extremely tasty and good value for money. The coffee is amazing- I’d go as far as saying the best in Leicester ! Staff were friendly as always and efficient. Cakes looked amazing- my mother had one and she can vouch that they tasted as good as they looked. Recommend to anyone ! A hidden gem.

Visited this week with my 90 year old mother. We had a coffee in the café before leaving to browse the retail outlets and garden centre. When we returned to the bistro to have some lunch, after queuing for ten minutes to place our order for lunch, I asked for two glasses to have some water. I had heard the till operator direct other customers to pitchers of water available communally near the cutlery station so knew there was water available.
Having already had coffees, we didn't want another hot drink - just water but when I asked for two glasses I was told they were unavailable. The till operator was embarrassed to be unable to give us glasses but said she had been told that if customers wanted water, they had to use the tiny, conical paper cups at the water station. The conical cups held no more than a mouthful of water and had a pointed bottom so could not be put down on a table. We had to stand at the water station and drink three or four mouthfuls of water - refilling each mouthful - instead of being able to have a glass of water with our meal. The till operator also said that the management wanted customers to purchase plastic bottles of water which were on sale.
This seems a very customer unfriendly, mean minded and greedy - not to mention eco-unfriendly attitude. Are we not all trying to reduce plastic consumption? I have never come across an establishment that will not provide a glass for tap water and on this basis will not be returning. If I needed any further convincing, the jacket potato I was served was tiny, shrivelled, cold and looked and tasted as if it had been around for a few days.
Very disappointing on all levels.

Called in for lunch when visiting the rural centre . It’s a very busy little place, we would have liked just a sandwich but unfortunately they are only available after 12md . This was 11:15 . We opted for the breakfast wraps . Good coffee and good service .
Wistow bistro In my experience is a fabulous place to sit in beautiful countryside surroundings and enjoy a first class breakfast, brunch or just coffee/tea and a slice of cake . We have celebrated a momentous family birthday there and was treated like royalty. Friendly and helpful staff made the occasion more special , nothing was too much trouble . Special celebrations are a must at this lovely rural venue 💕
The lovely ladies have done countless buffets for our family and friends over the years, they are the epitome of professionalism. The food is always tasty and beautifully presented. The fact that the cafe is always busy speaks for itself. Great food, great staff. They absolutely deserve this award.
