Met up with family and found this pub on the internet at half way point. Was not disappointed. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and pub was clean and cheerful. Plenty of menu choice but 6 out of the 7 of us chose the Sunday lunch. Starters were nice and well presented. Roast Pork was lovely and plenty of fresh vegetables. Food was piping hot. Homemade Chicken pie was also very tasty. Would definitely recommend.

We reserved the back room for my son’s 18th birthday for 17 friends and family. The staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough and the food was cooked to a high standard. The food was piping hot and the steak was cooked to everyone’s preference. We would highly recommend The White Lion.

We arrived soon after opening - the Christmas tree was being decorated and everyone there greeted us. The food was first class, our favourite was the black pudding stack (to die for!) service and chat - brilliant! very friendly and warm. We will definitely go back

I visited recently for a couple of drinks and something to eat and ordered the cheese and bacon burger which was ace. Great meat (from a butcher in the next village I think) and the accompaniments were tasty, the relish especially. The service was efficient, despite being a little busy inside, and the beer was good too. Overall a very good meal and great atmosphere, not cliquey at all and everyone in there was very sociable. Seems like a nice place to take the family.

If the services on the M1 is not your place for lunch then the White Lion Pub in North Kilworth just 4 miles off J20 on the A4304 is the place to go. That is exactly what we did on Saturday having just turned off the motorway without any recommendations. Perfect service and Brev is the man . I had a very tasty steak & mushroom pie and not a bit of waste just delicious and mouthwatering. My wife had the chicken and ham and again a perfect pie.
Sorry did not take any photos.

Very nice food, good sized portions and very friendly staff. Very close to Kilworth house hotel theatre so handy for a pre-show meal at a fraction of the cost of the hotel.
Would very much recommend

Visited the UK and a family member and local took us to her favorite Pub and it did not disappoint! Atmosphere was incredible and we enjoyed a traditional beer brewed in the UK. The staff was very inviting and went out of their way to help us feel like family.

2nd visit for food with the family and friends and did not disappoint. The soup was superb, excellent seafood cocktail, melt in the mouth fish, I could go on. Could not fault and staff are always friendly. Will definitely eat there again.

Had lunch here today. Pleased to find out that they have a good variety of sandwiches and baguettes, all of which come with a side salad. All very reasonably priced. These are listed on their specials board. It's a pity it doesn't say this on their website as it was only due to a previous trip advisor review giving this information that we decided to risk going there, as we only wanted a light cheap lunch, not a main meal. Friendly pub owner and good beer too.

Visited for Sunday lunch, which was very good (although would have preferred roast potatoes to be more roasted as they were very pale!) Really good value for money and the staff are very pleasant too.

The family called in for lunch following a visit to the Canal Museum at Foxton. Although a busy Saturday lunchtime, we were accommodated very quickly and efficiently. Excellent quality meals - reasonably priced. Also good choice of Ales, including Woodforde's Wherry.

Stopped by this roadside pub after detour when A14 was closed. It is welcoming and friendly with a proper old fashioned pub menu. We both opted for scampi and chips and it was simply great. Well done.

Super duper warm Sunday lunchtime welcome. We were travelling and only wanted a quick snack, but we felt like we were regulars! lovely.
Can't wait to go back if we are ever in the vicinity again.

Just a short walk up from the canal side, we stopped by on our holiday for an evening meal. Very stylish pub with friendly accommodating staff. Good choice of wines, and food, including a specials board. Plenty of options and the meals were well cooked and presented.
Good honest home cooked food, my partner said his steak and ale pie was one of the best he had ever eaten. Well worth a visit.

Good service by Toby.Varied menu keenly priced.
Food of reasonable standard, starters substantial .Main course 2 had in house pies, very niceSurrounds a little spartan, and only 2 tables in use albeit early and Thursday.
Ideal for what we wanted, perhaps not the special occasion venue but reliably sound in all respects. Not a lot of car parking.
Newish owners deserve support.

Returned to the White Lion for a pint and an evening meal for the first time since the new owners took over. I have to say that I had, by far, the best steak and kidney pie that I've had in years.
Superb steak, beautifully cooked, with just the right amount of kidney. Not a trace of fat or gristle. The whole suitably, and properly, encased in excellent short-crust pastry (none of your stewing steak in a bowl, wearing a puff-pastry hat nonsense). 10/10.
Good beer also.
Top notch value for money and a very pleasant proper village pub atmosphere.

Have eaten at the White Lion several times since the new owner took over last December. The food is very reasonably priced and well cooked. The menu includes the usual pub grub plus a range of interesting dishes priced at 6.95 and 7.95. All served with plenty of fresh veg. A selection of real ale is available with Marstons Pedigree and Woodford Wherry as the regular beers.
The White Lion is now a pub serving lots of nice food despite the "Restaurant" logo on the outside. This is my 50th TripAdvisor review so please accept my views as genuine.
PS please ignore any malicious comments from the former owner/tenant who seems to have an axe to grind.
