Visited this pub for the first time on a Saturday lunchtime. Staff were very friendly, helpful and informative. The food was absolutely fantastic.
We will definitely be visiting again soon.

From the minute you walk in, you are welcomed with open arms at this delightful place. We were a table of 8 on a Thursday evening. The staff were really attentive and made us fully aware they were busy and there would be a slightly longer than normal wait for food. We ordered and were impressed with the choices on the new summer menu. When food arrived we weren’t disappointed! Flavours were amazing (especially the seared scallops and smoked potato bhaji) and portions were generous. On Thursdays they have live acoustic music, which was excellent and certainly added to the atmosphere. We stayed long after our food to enjoy the whole evening.

I've been visiting this pub for the last 10 years although recently is has unfortunately lost its customer focus. We decided to take so R&R time over the holidays, a light lunch and a drink whilst taking advantage of the weather . The pub had circa 30 customers in, not really busy as we have been in many times when the pub was bursting with people. We know some of the old staff although there are a lot of new faces. New blood, happy to see them grow. On waiting an hour for a pizza I did question where our simple order was, unfortunately humour and new staff members adding there bit onto conversations to other customers has never been within customer relations in my opinion. In-house issues are in- house issues, customers are not paying for those. When our food did arrive it did look inviting, although we had to ask for napkins for the table as we ate. When we finished the chef did come over and apologise for the delay to which I thanked him, couldn't ask more than that really. On paying I was asked for a lower amount than the bill should of been, they had made an error therefore I had to tell them that the bill was wrong and too cheap. Honesty is key for any business to survive, customer focus will draw paying customers back again and again, it not all just about the food. The Swan is a nice place, the food speaks for itself under the current chef, the new front of house staff think they know it all, they don't and for the Swan to survive they require supervision and lessons in customer relations. At the end of the day, if you are looking for a nice place to go, then yes its worth it. If you are looking for the extra bit of attention (as this place isn't cheap) you could be disappointed.

Went for Sunday lunch, what can I say excellent. Meat beautiful tender real roast potatoes and homemade Yorkshire puddings. Very reasonable priced had 2 courses £22 . The staff were very welcoming and efficient, definitely go back next time will leave room for desert. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

Faultless from the moment we walked in the door. Service was great, the food was fantastic. Two of us had a starter. Prawn cocktail was a very generous portion, fresh and delicious. Again the
creamy mushrooms on sourdough was a generous portion and very tasty. The roast beef and lamb were cooked to perfection as we're the accoutrements. Only two of us had room left for pudding and it was thoroughly enjoyed. Cannot recommend enough. All staff, food and prices are unbeatable! Can't wait to return.

I don’t normally write reviews but I visited today with family including young kids and both the service and the food were exceptional.
I’m having a wedding party here in Aug so thought I’d try the Sunday lunch and I wasn’t disappointed, furthermore the decor is quite quirky but tasteful and the vibe is friendly and relaxed. I would defintely recommend

The minute you walk in this place you feel welcomed..it’s a delightful quaint village pub with soft furnishings and oak beams….the dining area is well laid out with a chose of eating in the bar area or the conservatory both are very comfortable and warmly lit giving as we call it a “flattering light” private joke at our age ..I hate brightly lit restaurants lol

My partner and I enjoyed a great night out at The Swan earlier this week. The food was superb, I’m told courtesy of a new chef, it was difficult to choose between the fine produce on offer.
The ambience and friendly staff as always make it our favourite go to restaurant of choice.

Friendly pub, We had a separate area of the pub for a friends and family get together. Food was well done, decent beer and wine. It was a bit cold when we arrived but they bought heaters and we were soon nice and warm.

Mother’s Day : very busy but not at all disorganised infact the opposite the service was fantastic and the food as usual was brilliant. We love the Swan and under the new general manager the place has gone to another level, it’s one of the best country pubs in the Harborough area, Sunday lunch is always good, the staff are always friendly and overall we always look forward to returning

My first TripAdvisor review. Had to join up to share my excitement about finding this absolute gem. The place is beautiful and the food was so so good! My steak was cooked perfectly and everyone else loved their meals too. Nicest meal we have had locally in such a long time. We loved the gin selection and cocktails too, and the boys were enjoying the beers. Service was friendly and professional, but not too formal which is the perfect balance. We will definitely be back soon!!

Have been here a few times now and have always had good food until the last visit. We were told by one of the staff that they only had 2 portions of hand cut chips left which was quite surprising at half 7 on a Saturday night! Starters were all tasty enough although disappointing that the mackerel pate came with one slice of sliced white bread , not nice white bread just from your average loaf, and barley toasted not enough for all the pate so had to ask for more! 4 of our party had the surf and turf all 4 were disappointed with their steaks all thin and fatty, for £24.00 you would expect a nice steak and more than 2 large prawns! Only one of the party had a dessert as the rest of us all wanted something that they had run out of! A few of us were getting very irritated by 1 and 2 members of staff sliding the bar stools around on the floor if it happened once it would have been so bad but after a number of times it really was irritating it’s not like they were doing it for customers it was then who were sitting on them! Service was ok but again this has also been better. Hoping this was an off night for the swan and it will return to how it used to be!
