Standup comedy show with an international comedian coming to the Greater Manchester Fringe

Ever accidentally said the wrong thing?

MISTRANSLATED is a stand-up comedy show all about the hilarity of language mistakes - coming to Manchester for a three-night run as part of the Greater Manchester Fringe.

What can you expect from this show?

  • Language Fails: Tales of language mistakes to prove - it can get so much worse
  • Hacks: Practical tips on how to fool waiters, grandmas and ticket controllers
  • Nerding Out: Deep dives into why some languages are just plain weird (looking at you, Bulgarian)
  • Story Sharing: Space for the audience share THEIR stories from summer exchange, secondary school French, or the time they accidentally ordered eels in Indonesia

The show is delivered by international comedian ERICA JEAN, a travelling polyglot who has performed in 28 countries in 7 languages. This show debuted at the Tallinn Fringe, sold out in Singapore and has traveled everywhere from Bulgaria to Saigon where her comedy has been described as "witty and quirky" and "a breath of fresh air."
